How to Remove Blemishes with Free Photoshop Software – Gimp
GIMP or GNU Image Manipulation Program is a cross platform image editor. We often use this editing software to modify our pictures or in some cases, other people’s photos. Gimp can give you miracles by making you look younger and even blemish-free. Removing acne is simple with this free Photoshop software – Gimp.
The first step is to have your photo ready. Open it using the free Photoshop software – Gimp. By pressing CTRL+O on your keyboard and select the image that you wish to edit. You can right-click on the picture and select New View from the View menu. This will allow you to have a second window in which you can zoom in as you leave the other one zoomed out.
Second is to zoom in at the area that you would like to retouch. You can choose one of the window views that you have opened. It is significant that you have zoomed in really closely so that you can have a clear view of the acne you want to eliminate. Using the Clone tool, hold down CTRL as you click away on the area adjacent to the blemish. Make sure that you click on the spot where there is no acne. You can adjust the size of your brush if you think it is necessary.
Now, you will be replacing the skin tone with the unblemished one. To do this, you need to make sweeping strokes appropriate for the size of the blemished area. You can see how well you have accomplished your task by using the other window containing the zoomed out image. You ca undo your actions by pressing CTRL+Z. If the outcome does not seem right, you can choose another area to copy using the same method given above. You can also try to adjust the opacity by going to Tool Options. Remember that lowering the opacity may give the viewers the feeling that the photo has not been edited.
Once you are through with your work and you are satisfied with the result, you can now save your file. Click the File menu and select Save As. This will let you save the edited version into a new file. On the other hand, you can just hit CTRL+S if you do not want to make another version of the photo.
The free Photoshop software – Gimp is not that difficult to use if you have already been using other photo editing programs. It is very user friendly and best of all, you can use it for a limited time for free.
